How can I remove 2 factor authentication from my account?

For security reasons, removing 2FA from an account is difficult, if te correct code cannot be generated, otherwise social engineering the Support department would be a viable workaround to access an account protected by 2FA.

In step 4 of our 2FA setup process, we state "Save and store a copy of the QR code or the associated text code in Step 2 above." We hope that when you set up two-factor authentication, you saved the authentication secret in a secure location, such as a password manager.

If the secret was not saved, please contact Customer Care.  We will request proof of your ownership of the account to verify the request to remove the security restriction from the account.
